Madelyn's Hair and Makeup

Below are the choices Madelyn made for her hair and makeup. Madelyn chose the floral hair element to match the theme of the wedding that she loves. She chose this specific makeup look because it shows some of the pastel pink colors that is throughout many of the design aspects of the theme. It is also simple and elegant, which she also loved about the look. To achieve these looks, she hired an old friend from college who owns a hair and makeup business called Color of fashions hair and makeup. Madelyn felt like she could best trust her to achieve this dream look.

Floral Decor(centerpiece)

Harry helped chose this centerpiece because he liked how this form of floral decor helped emphasize their wedding theme. He said, "It reminds me of our firs date when we were surrounded by nature."

Floral Decor

Below is Madelyn's choice of Floral decor for her bridal bouquet, bridal party's bouquets, and the groomsmen's boutonnières. After much research, Madelyn found Rachel Cho Floral designs and she was blown away by her portfolio so she chose this company to create her floral decor.

The music chosen for the ceremony were the classic "Here comes the Bride" and "I'm Yours" by Jason Maraz for the exit song. They felt that the entrance song was iconic and that the exit song was uplifting and represented their union. These werrre played on speaker provided by the venue.

The song that was chosen for their first dance at their reception was "All of Me" by John Legend. The rest of the music played at the reception was Top hits. Other songs included were some children's songs like the chicken dance and also some other older 70s-80s hits for the older guests. This was played by a DJ that was booked for 5 hours called JD Music Productions Inc.

The photos are the poses and ideas the couple had for their location wedding in a major city. This is also their home and where they met which is another reason these city bases photos were chosen. All photos will be done through the small story package provided by Kelly Williams photographer

Reading #1

1 Corinthians 13

“If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

“Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

“Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end.

“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.”

Reading #2

"Love is friendship caught fire; it is quiet, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
Love is content with the present, hopes for the future, and does not brood over the past. It is the day-in and day-out chronicles of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals.
If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough."

Love Is Friendship Caught Fire” by Laura Hendricks

Holding Books

The first reading was chosen by Harry. He felt as this reading reflected his feelings towards Madelyn and their relationship through his religion. Madelyn chose the second reading because their relationship started as a friendship. She felt that this reading reflected their story

Vegetarian Food

Food and Beverage

(Catering)

One of the elements of the Buffet style catering was a Chicago-style pizza bar. Madelyn chose this food element because it is a classic from her hometown and is one of her comfort foods. Harry chose some of his comfort foods as well like Fish and chips and Shepard's pie. There was also a salad bar option for vegetarian or vegan guests. For this vision, They hired Betty's Catering because of the great review they heard from co-workers.  For beverages, there were classic beverages provided by the bar like soda, water, beer, wine, and liquor, which were provided by the venue.

Wedding Party Gifts and Favors

Wedding Favors

Since many of the guest are from out of town, a lot of typical wedding favors would be hard and unsensiable to provide. Madelyn and Harrry decided to give out simple, useful, and travel-friendly favors. They also like the idea of sharing their favorite candy to their guests, which could also provide the guests with snacks on their flight or drive home. The other favors are small and easily stored in suitcases, while also being useful later.

Wedding Party Gifts

Wedding Party gifttts are a way to thank the people closest to you for being apparrtt of their special day. Madelyn decided to give her brides maides personalized bags to use for and after the wedding. The groom's men received personalized sunglasses, which provided a great opportunity for a photo op and for later everyday use.

Wedding Cake

For the wedding cake, Madelyn and Harry wanted a classic and elegant design. so they thought that A Love for Cake would be the best option to create that for them. They chose a white-based cake with bark looking designs with variants of color, which further showed their theme. they also wanted to add some floral elements as well to tie the cake all together. One of their favorite parts of the cake is the gold specks throughout the layers. They chose this cake because it was a big enough size to feed all of their guests and it was also within their budget.

Transportation

Madelyn and Harry chose to have two limos. One for the bridal party and one for the groom's party. This transportation method was chosen because driving in New York can be stressful so having a service would help alleviate some stress from the day.

Lodging

The choice for lodging that Madelyn and Harry Made was the Sheraton La Guardia East Hotel. This hotel had great reviews and was closer to their venue, which would help save time with traffic on the wedding day. It was also near the airport, which would make it easier to pick up guests or spend time with them if they chose the same hotl

No rental or decorative elements were rented due to the Venue providing most of the furniture and decor elements needed
