THEME & VISION

Nature
Nature is something that has connected Harry and Madelyn since their first date at Harriman State Park. Enjoying nature through activities like hiking is also a hobby they share and often bond over. It seemed only fitting that their wedding was Nature themed but also with a hint of pastels in their vision. Madelyn and Harry prefer minimalistic designs in their vision which is extenuated with the pastels. This also represents the growth of their relationship and their new beginning.
How the theme is incorporated into the Wedding
Throughout the elements and design of the wedding, there is a heavy greenery influence. The first example of how this theme is incorporated is in the reception arch. The wedding ceremony is on the rooftop of the terrace on the park and this arch with greenery with pastel hints reflects the nature theme for the ceremony. The second way the theme is incorporated into the wedding is through the table centerpieces for the reception. The centerpieces will incorporate taller plantlife with branches and little electric candle lights to showcase the centerpieces. This allows for the nature theme to show and the tree-like design further relates to Madelyn and Harry's first date hiking by being surrounded by trees. The third example of how this theme is incorporated into the wedding is the paper element like the invitations, RSVPs, thank you cards. These examples show how the theme is carried out from beginning to end from the moment guess are invited until the ending reception.

Guests
The total amount of guests that are attending Madelyn and Harry's wedding are 150 guests. Sixty of those guests are from Madelyn's side of the family, while fifty of the guests are from Harry's side of the family. Most of Madelyn's family are from Illinois so they will be flying into JFK or La Guardia airports. Madelyn also has some Aunts and Uncles that live locally. While Harry's family are international since he is from England, his guest will be arriving from England at JFK airport. The remaining forty guests are for friends and coworkers that were also invited. All of the guests speak the same language. Children will be attending the wedding and no child care will be provided. The responsibility of the children falls onto the parents or guests that bring them.

Transportation and Lodging Arrivals
The majority of the national and international guests will be staying about three to four nights, while the local guests like friends and some of Madelyn's family that live locally will just commute to the wedding the day of or book a hotel for the night for after the reception. Madelyn and Harry decided not to do Room Blocks since many guests preferred to choose their own hotels which varied from guest to guest.
Activites
For the out-of-town family, the bride and groom will accompany them for site seeing in the days before the wedding but it is not mandatory. New York has many sites that may be taught after by Out-of-town family like Times Square and the Statue of Liberty and having the bride and groom act as guides can be a bonding activity for family.
